Bella C. Pianist and singer by passion
«Music is my greatest love in life!» says Bella C., even after more than two decades as a professional pianist and singer performing all over the world. Her home is the stage, whether in Europe, America or Asia. Bella C. began piano lessons at the age of five. Just one year later, she began training as a singer at the same time. In her home country of Bulgaria, she completed all levels of classical music training. As a young woman, she also spent a year acting with well-known ensembles on various stages.
Classical music was eventually joined by popular songs, as Bella C. has always been fascinated by pop music. Starting out with just a few songs, the versatile artist now has a repertoire of around a thousand songs, with something for every audience, from Elvis to Miley Cyrus. Depending on the size of the stage, Bella C. lets her fingers fly over the keys of a grand piano, an upright piano or even a keyboard. In solo performances, she can incorporate tracks alongside her live piano music and expressive voice, offering the sound of an entire band.
Bella C. demonstrates her versatility not only in her repertoire, but also in her wide variety of performances, which include major stages such as the 2016 ESC qualifiers – where she came second behind Canadian singer Rykka – and her Art on Ice performances in 2019. She also knows how to thrill her audience on smaller, more intimate stages, in bars or at private events, where she can interact directly with her listeners.
Bella C. has been based in Switzerland since 1999. She came to Zurich at that time and immediately fell in love with the city on the Limmat. Today she lives in the neighbouring city of Winterthur. During the pandemic, when public performances were no longer possible, Bella C. revisited her roots and wrote poems in her native language. Some of these poems eventually became 40 songs, with which she toured Bulgaria's major concert halls, made TV appearances and was nominated for Artist and Album of the Year in 2023. The beautiful lyrics combined with exciting melodies became hits not only in her home country, but also far beyond, from Australia to China and Europe to the USA. Bella C. shares with Mister Saxr not only her great passion for music, but also her enthusiasm for the authentic live experience, the direct contact with the audience, and the creation of an incomparable atmosphere full of emotional sounds that touch people's hearts and inspire them.
